Old Colony is now a part of Charleston's biggest yard sale held on Charleston's East End. This year, May 11 from 8am until 2pm (rain or shine) serves as the date for 2013 Old Colony East End Yard Sale, which is held in conjunction with East End Main Street and the East End Community Association. 

Going 23 years strong, this event brings out more than 3,500 bargain hunters one spring Saturday a year to the historic East End of Charleston who search for everything from furniture one of a kind household items among the 200 sellers for this event.  Non-residential selling spaces are sold out but spaces are still available for residential sellers from the East End by visiting charlestoneastend.com for a registration fee of $10.

Old Colony recognized the longevity and community spirit behind this event and knew that partnering with the East End Association was a perfect fit for their goal of being involved in...

Gelato? Italian Wedding Soup? Here? In Morgantown? Absolutely. Tutto Gelato is a little bit of heaven located at Suburban Plaza in Suncrest and is the result of a desire by two cousins to bring a little bit of Italy to The Mountain State. After a trip overseas, owners Sarah Straface & Jenna Straface Oates put their dreams into action and Tutto Gelato was born.

Healthy Kids Day...A YMCA Initiative.

Summer is the time for kids to get up, get out and grow. But for some kids, exposure to activities that stimulate the body and mind ends with the school year. In fact, research shows that kids are prone to gain more weight and fall behind in studies. On Friday, April 26, the Tri-County YMCA in Scott Depot will celebrate Healthy Kids Day, a national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids.

Over 1,900 Ys across the country are taking part in Healthy Kids Day, holding free community events that are open to all kids and families and filled with fun, active play and educational opportunities.
