Admission to this state-of-the-art splash pad is free for residents of Putnam County and only $3 for visitors. Kids can splash around while parents enjoy shaded seating areas. There's also a concession stand available for snacks.

    Hurricane City Park has been a favorite destination for Hurricane families since the 1970s. Offering trails for exercise, parks for picnics, playground equipment, and sporting fields, you can spend all day enjoying this wonderful outdoor space. Connected to the park are trails through the forest and a reservoir that you can fish in. The Caboose Museum is also onsite to provide indoor fun when summer showers strike.

  2. Waves of Fun at Valley Park — 1 Valley Park Drive, Hurricane, WV 25526
    Valley Park is another exceptional place for children and families to play in Putnam County. The Waves of Fun waterpark is the perfect place to splash and swim in these warm summer months. Wade into the wave pool and cool off. Float on a raft or practice your swimming lessons in this safe space monitored by lifeguards. There are also exciting waterslides to zip down if your kids are looking for more fun in the sun!

    There's more to see and do outside of Waves of Fun in Valley Park. This sprawling center of activity has miles of walking trails as well as fields for baseball, soccer, tennis, and disc golf. They also have an all-inclusive playground and challenge course that allows children of all abilities to enjoy fun in the sun. You can even bring your four-legged friend along to play in the dog park so the whole family can enjoy an afternoon outside together.
